• In order to be considered for any of the local scholarships distributed through Fair Lawn High School, students must submit the General Scholarship Application, available only through the Class of 2026 Google Classroom. The application is a PDF and will be submitted via the Google Form provided.

Parents/guardians must provide release consent for any personal documents to be reviewed by the FLHS Scholarship Committee and the selection committees of scholarship donors. This consent is available through the Parent Portal in Genesis. 

All material must be submitted by 3:00 PM on Friday, February 13, 2026 to be considered.

During this special event, all local scholarships will be presented to graduating seniors. Award recipients are notified in advance and invited to attend, where they will be honored among their peers, teachers, counselors, Board of Education members, district administrators, and our generous donors. This memorable ceremony celebrates students' achievements and recognizes the support of those who make these scholarships possible.

Elks National Foundation Most Valuable Student - due November 12, 2026

The ENF awards 500 four-year scholarships based on academics, leadership, and financial need. National awards range from $1,000 to $7,500 per year. Awards will be announced in April 2027.

Eligibility:

• Current high school seniors, or the equivalent, who are citizens of the United States are eligible to apply.

• Applicants do not need to be related to a member of the Elks.

• High school graduates are not eligible to apply.

• Applicants must be citizens of the United States on the date their applications are submitted; permanent legal resident status does not qualify.

• Scholarships are available only to students who enroll in four-year undergraduate degree programs at accredited U.S. American colleges or universities.

Therapy.com Mental Health Scholarship - due November 30, 2026

We’re offering $2,250 in awards for U.S. students who are passionate about expanding mental health access. The essay-based application is free to access, and no transcript is required. Open to current and incoming U.S. college students of all majors. Mental health advocacy matters across every field of study.

Calvin Coolidge Scholarship - due December 1, 2026 (5:00pm Pacific Time)

The Coolidge Scholarship is an annually awarded, full-ride, presidential scholarship that covers a student’s tuition, room, board, and expenses for four years of undergraduate study. This one-of-a-kind scholarship may be used at any accredited college or university in the U.S.

Any high school junior who plans to enroll in college in the fall of 2028 and is an American citizen or legal permanent resident is eligible to apply.

Hope for Addiction Scholarship - due February 28, 2027

Samba Recovery’s Hope for Addiction Scholarship is an annual $1,000 award dedicated to encouraging more young people to join the fight against addiction by pursuing degrees that directly support individuals and families affected by substance use disorders.

We welcome applications from all eligible students, with special encouragement for those who are in recovery themselves or who have been impacted by addiction within their families.

Requirements

• Proof of college enrollment or acceptance

• Pursuing a degree with the goal of working with individuals and/or families impacted by addiction

• Completed application form

• An original 500 to 1000 word essay on how you are planning to use your degree to help individuals and families struggling with addiction, and why helping those affected by substance use disorder is important to you
